Côte d'Ivoire

Côte d’Ivoire is West Africa’s third-largest economy and additionally, one of the fastest-growing countries on the continent. With the growing economy, the purchase power of the 27.5 million Ivorian is also on the rise. Since the elections in 2011, the country has seen positive and dynamic developments. The political situation is becoming increasingly stable, the economy is growing, and there is an overall downward trend in unemployment. The economy is more diversified than in neighboring countries, which makes Côte d’Ivoire more resistant to crises. Besides being the world’s largest cocoa producer, Côte d’Ivoire is also driving its development in the ICT sector as the government aims to expand the country’s middle class. With German being one of the most popular second languages to learn in Côte d’Ivoire (200,000 people speak German) and French being its official language, Côte d’Ivoire is an interesting business partner for various countries in Europe.
